SPV – NCP COURSE

Seasonal Passenger Vessel Safety Non Certified Personnel

This six hour course is for non-certificated personnel on passenger vessels on a short-term basis, i.e. seasonal bartenders, deck hands, service staff, etc.

The aim of this course is to provide these seasonal crew with:

  • a basic understanding of the hazards related to the marine environment and their own vessel;
  • the knowledge they need to raise and react to alarms and deal with the initial stage of an emergency;
  • the ability to provide assistance in fire, abandonment and other emergency situations;
  • the knowledge and skills to help in their own survival and rescue;
  • the ability to knowledgeably follow orders from the vessel’s officers in emergency situations.
